Library Spaces and Services During Construction
(Fall 2025–Fall 2027)
Library and Center for Teaching & Learning staff will continue to provide resources and services to the Ë®¹ûÅÉ College community while our library building is under construction.
Cat Cards may be required to access spaces outside of business hours.
Interim Spaces Open 24/7
Lilly Family Gallery is the main collaborative study space during the library renovation. In Lilly Gallery, you will find library staff, course reserves, desktop computers, a laptop kiosk, scanners and printers, individual and collaborative study areas, the library information desk, and consultation space.
Lilly Gallery has been fully equipped with furniture reused from E.H. Little Library.
The Tomlinson Hall Basement Conference Room is the primary silent study space during the interim period, featuring reused study carrels and other furnishings from E.H. Little Library.
Chambers classrooms 2130, 2146, and 2164 are available to reserve 24/7 for group study. Classroom 3130 will also be available for drop-in group study on a first-come, first-served basis.
Other Interim Spaces & Offices
The Music Library (Sloan Music Center) serves as the Archives & Special Collections teaching and research space during construction. Music Library resources will be available by request. The Music Library is available for quiet evening study (unless otherwise reserved for Archives & Special Collections) and features three reservable group study alcoves.
Baxter Ë®¹ûÅÉ Room (Chambers Second Floor) serves as the Library teaching space during the interim period. When this room is not in use for library sessions or library-sponsored events, students are welcome to use the space for group study, much like the Fishbowl Classroom.
Center for Teaching and Learning Drop-in Tutoring
- Math, Science and Economics Drop-in Tutoring is in Wall 210
- Communication Consultants are in Chambers 1015
- Writing Consultants are in Chambers 1046
- Research Consultants are in Chambers 1027
- Data Consultants (Data CATS) are in Chambers 3146
Chambers South Basement features spaces for students to get help with research and digital projects, including a computer lab, the Podcast Studio, and the Consultation Base.
The Academic Access and Disability Resources Office is now located in Watson 338.
All are welcome to work in such as the Social Commons, Van Deman Innovation Lab, and Patio.
Students are welcome to use our student study rooms with other students, faculty, and staff on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Starting June 1, 2025, departments can book selected Hurt Hub spaces at no charge via , providing ample room for meetings, study sessions, and events. These spaces include:
- Conference Room 302 (Capacity: 10, 7 days a week from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
- Event Space 303 (Capacity: 40; primarily available Mondays and Fridays 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
