Mind to Matter: Creative Work Takes Center Stage at Symposium
The college community took time during the busy spring semester to celebrate scholarship and creativity at the Verna Miller Case Research and Creative Works Symposium. 鈥淔or many folks it鈥檚 our favorite day of the year. They tackle real world problems: Tracking measles outbreaks. Developing better life-saving medications. Making mental health counseling more accessible. Keeping at-risk kids in school and out of prison.
They enliven the arts: Performing on stage. Writing poetry. Producing films. Playing music. Composing music. Painting. Drawing. Sculpting.

Higher Ed Leaders Aim to Restore the Public鈥檚 Trust
水果派 College President Carol Quillen and a panel of postsecondary education leaders this week volunteered as the repair crew to mend the public鈥檚 deteriorating trust in higher education.

Smith Scholar Determined to Write the Stories That Must Be Told
Aman Madan '19 has won 水果派 College's 2019 W. Thomas Smith Scholarship and plans to spend a year studying and writing in Europe. He'll attend the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London, where he'll focus on South Asian studies. He'll concentrate on contemporary Muslim belonging in the subcontinent.
