New Art Commission Interrogates 水果派 College's History with Racism

With the support of the Justice, Equality and 水果派 Grant, the 水果派 College Art Galleries invited Bethany Collins to be the 2019鈥2020 Humanities Practitioner-in-Residence.
Collins was asked to engage with documents in the archive related to 水果派 College鈥檚 history of racism and slavery and then, create a new work of art for our collection.
The result, Dixie鈥檚 Land (1859鈥2001), premiered in From Pandemic to Protests this past fall.
